MY APPROACH

Driven by fun from my passion, focusing on progression.

With over 20 years of BMX riding experience, I bring my passion, skill, and first-hand experience to every session. My coaching isn’t just about teaching tricks — it’s also about building confident, capable riders.

Each session is geared around fun, engaging, and child-focused activities, whether it's 1:1 coaching or small group sessions. I use a proven mix of balance drills, skatepark skills, and confidence-building techniques to help every young rider progress at their own pace — safely and with a smile on their face.

From first pedals to first tricks, I want to make sure kids feel supported, encouraged, and excited to learn. My friendly, down-to-earth approach helps them grow not just as riders, but as individuals — developing resilience, coordination, social confidence and a love for active outdoor play.

Over the years, I’ve learned what it takes to progress, stay safe, and most importantly, have fun on a BMX — and that shines through in my teaching.

Whether your child is brand new to skateparks or already rolling confidently, I tailor my coaching to meet them right where they are.

WHEN AND WHERE

Weekdays from 16:00 and Weekends from 10:00

- please contact to discuss and book -

Kingsbridge Skatepark: This is my local, I coach here the most. It’s a great place to learn many forms of riding from fundamentals and basics, skatepark etiquette and tricks, balance drills, peer involvement and general awareness. Book with me directly.

Moreleigh Pumptrack: The pumptrack here offers a great opportunity to develop pumping, carving and jumping on a BMX bike. This pumptrack welcomes riders of all levels, from complete beginners to novice riders alike. With rollers and a smooth surface it’s great for developing that mind-muscle connection with the bicycle. Book with me directly.

Outside Devon: This venue has a good concrete, pool-style bowl which is ideal for riders looking to enhance their skills on the quaterpipe: learning spins, fly-outs, transition tricks, flowing, pumping and carving to name a few. The venue boasts a cafe and seating area, plenty of grass space, pottery studio, surfboard shaping bay and often hosts a variety of events. Inform me of the date you wish to ride there and book a session with Outside directly. Check out their website here: Outside Devon • Outside Devon, Multi-Use Space and Cafe with a Skatebowl, Farm and Workshops.

The Lodge Indoor Skatepark (Newton Abbot): I will be looking to run coaching sessions here specifically on Wednesdays from 16:00. To book, head through to their site and contact the team using the following link, specifically mentioning BMX coaching on Wednesday evenings (there are no evening slots available on Wednesdays just yet as we’re still building awareness): Contact Us | The Lodge Skatepark | Newton Abbot

‘‘I love riding BMX: the friends I’ve made along the way, the places I’ve visited, the community you immerse yourself in by being a part of the scene. That’s why I do this; to pay it forward and help the next generation.’’
